Typically, we can expect PS Plus Extra and Premium games to be announced on the second Wednesday of every month, and to drop on the following Tuesday, but these dates have had to be moved for the Essential drop this month (announced on Wednesday, January 1), so PlayStation has moved the PS Plus Extra and Premium games reveal and release dates forwards to ensure that it doesn't knock out all of its game announcements at the start of January 2025.
