Many of us adore Christmas Day – but, let's face it, the cooking can be a bit of a nightmare. With so much to prepare and never enough time, it's a juggling act that could do with a helping hand. But one man claims Jamie Oliver's gravy recipe has revolutionised his festive feast.

Mike Honour took to TikTok to share his experience, declaring the gravy "banging" and a real game-changer. You can whip it up days in advance and simply reheat it when it's time for Christmas dinner. Since Mike shared the video, many social media users chimed in to praise the delicious recipe. It looks as though many are keen to give it a whirl.

If you're using chicken drumsticks and legs for your gravy base, don't toss out what's left after sieving. Cool down the ingredients, then pick through the chicken to separate the meat from the bones. This way, you'll have some lovely chunks of chicken to repurpose into another meal – zero waste, maximum taste. Just remember to be thorough when removing all the bones.

Then, come Christmas Day, all you need to do is combine your thawed gravy with the succulent juices from your roasted turkey for the perfect finishing touch to your festive spread. Heat it on the hob until it boils, making sure to scrape up all the sticky bits from the bottom. Give it a taste test, and add a bit of cranberry sauce to balance the flavours.
